The booking fee (also called a retainer or deposit) secures your date and time exclusively for you. Once your session is booked, I turn away other inquiries for that slot.

The fee is non-refundable because it covers the time I reserve for you and potential loss of earnings if you cancel. It also helps cover any upfront costs like planning, location scouting, and preparation. The good news is that the booking fee goes toward your total balance—it's not an extra charge.

4. What should I/we wear for the photoshoot day?

No need to stress—I’m here to help! As a professional photographer based in Winchester ( so British weather), I understand how important it is to feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. That’s why I provide seasonal outfit guides for every type of shoot—whether it’s a family photoshoot, maternity session, couples photography, or outdoor portraits.

Each guide includes tips on what to wear for your photo shoot, how to coordinate colours, and suggestions tailored to the season and location.

After booking your photography session, I’ll personally help you choose outfits that suit your style and reflect the look you want in your images. My goal is to make sure you not only look great but feel great too.

5. Are you shooting indoors or outdoors?

I mainly shoot outdoors, as I love using natural light and beautiful locations around Winchester, Hampshire, and beyond to create relaxed, natural images.

Outdoor sessions work brilliantly for family photography, maternity sessions, and couples shoots, offering space for movement and a more candid feel.That said, I do offer indoor photography in certain scenarios—particularly for newborn sessions, young children, or relaxed family portraits at home. If you're more comfortable in your own space, or if the weather isn’t quite right, I’m happy to bring the session indoors.
