Spring days behind the lens:
Started the morning slow, green tea in hand and scrolling through Pinterest for a bit of inspiration — soft light, fresh tones, that effortless spring feel. Once I’ve got a vision in mind, it’s straight into prep mode: batteries charged, lenses cleaned, memory cards cleared… all the little rituals before heading out.
Next up, location scouting. Spring always brings the best surprises — blossoms, fresh greens, and that golden light that just hits differently this time of year. Then it’s onto the shoot itself, chasing light, adjusting on the go, capturing those in-between moments that often turn out to be the best ones.
Back home, the day doesn’t end there. Editing is where it all comes together — refining colours, enhancing the mood, and bringing the story to life.
From start to finish, it’s a process I never get tired of.

Bluebell season = dreamy photos… and a tiny bit of chaos?
After plenty of shoots, here are 3 things I always tell my clients:
- Outfit colours matter more than you think – soft neutrals & pastels let the bluebells do their thing
- Snacks are your secret weapon – happy little ones = natural smiles
- Always bring a spare outfit… because mud will happen
A little prep, and you get those effortless, magical moments (with far less stress!)

Being a mum is also where my own photography journey began. It started with a simple desire to hold onto the fleeting moments with my children (the quiet cuddles, the laughter, the love that fills the everyday).
Picking up my camera to capture those memories slowly became something more, and today I have the privilege of doing the same for other families.
Because the bond between a mum and her children is one of the most powerful and beautiful things there is. And without mums, none of us would be here.

This winter, I’ve been ‘eating’ up the quiet, ‘praying’ (metaphorically, anyway!) for some creative direction, and finally ‘loving’ the idea of niching down my photography business. It’s been a season of growth, even if it looked like stillness from the outside.
Spring is coming, and with it, the magic of Mother’s Day. I’ve been busy behind the lens with these portraits of mums and their children, and honestly? It’s been the perfect reminder of why I started this in the first place. There is so much love in these frames.

’ve been feeling really grateful lately for the journey my photography business has taken me. I’ve been lucky enough to work across such a wide variety of projects, and it honestly means so much to me.
While my main niches are branding and family photography — and more recently, weddings — I also love being able to offer so much more. From newborn and maternity sessions to seasonal mini shoots, pets, and even charity work, every job brings its own story and purpose.
Some of the most meaningful work I’ve done has been through my collaborations with @disabledpeoplesvoice , and I’m so proud to be part of something that gives back and creates real impact.
Feeling thankful, inspired, and really excited to see what this year has in store!

Workflow is never as we want it, right?
Between a main job, family, and all the everyday stuff that fills the week, photography has to squeeze into whatever time is left.
It’s not always easy, and progress definitely isn’t linear.

Some weeks there’s momentum, other weeks it’s just showing up tired and doing what you can.

But this matters to me. I keep turning up, keep trying, and keep building — because photography isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s a personal and professional goal I really want to see through. Even if it takes longer than planned.

Of slowing down. Of questioning. Of finding my way back to why I started.

Every Christmas I love picking up my camera and photographing my children. Life slows down a little, I get more time with them, and it feels like the perfect moment to pause and document the small, special things.
This year was extra special, capturing them posting their letters to Santa. The excitement, the belief, the magic — it might be the last Christmas where they both share that same wonder about Santa, which makes these moments even more precious to me.

Winter sunsets have been gorgeous lately too — those soft pastel skies and golden hues make the most dreamy backdrop for photos. Pure magic to capture.
And as much as I adore the winter vibes, I’m already looking forward to the shift ahead… preparing for the blooming season .

If you knew me, you’d know... I’m a bit of a photography addict, but I’m absolutely rubbish at picking a favourite niche! Why choose when you can love them all, eh? Every style has its own incredible vibe.
Take portraits, for example: they’re brilliant because you get to connect with people and have a right laugh while you’re at it. Then you look at landscapes—pure escapism, showcasing the stunning nature right on our doorstep. If you need something slick and polished, branding is where it’s at for that professional feel. And don’t even get me started on weddings! Documenting that pure, unfiltered love and happiness... it’s just the best, honestly.

Story time! ( about small victories!) I actually got into wedding photography completely by accident.
A year ago A&B asked me to shoot their wedding. My immediate reaction? Pure panic. 😱
I’d never shot one before! I was totally honest and told them, “I’m so flattered, but I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing!”
But they trusted me. They loved my style and were happy to take a chance. So, with my heart hammering, I said yes.
The day was pure magic. Yes, I was terrified, but I was also buzzing. We were all completely chuffed with the photos (especially me!).
I instantly fell in love with capturing these kinds of big, joyful days.
But I also knew I couldn’t just ‘wing it’ forever. So, I dived headfirst into training and workshops to properly learn the craft.
Fast forward to today, and here we are! It’s been a massive journey from that first ‘oh crikey’ email, and I’m so grateful to A&B for starting it all. What an adventure, eh?

I honestly thought they were the key to getting ‘better’ photos, when in reality, they were limiting my creativity and stopping me from finding my own style. Since I stopped relying on them, I’ve finally started to develop an editing style that is 100% genuinely me, and I’m really happy with the results! It’s all about finding that freedom. 🌟

Mine is the sheer explosion of colour! 🍂🍁
Seriously, every year I fall more and more in love with the incredible colour palette this season brings. It’s like the world turns into a massive, gorgeous painting.
Think about it: those rich, deep ochres, the fiery rusts, the dazzling crimsons, and those stunning golden hues that light up the woods and parks. When I was younger, I don’t think I fully appreciated just how beautiful these tones are. But over the years, my love for the warm colour tones of Autumnal nature has just grown and grown. Now, it’s something I actively look forward to.
It’s the perfect excuse for a cosy walk and some seriously good photos—especially for capturing those beautiful family moments! And speaking of photos, I’m currently running my popular Autumn Mini Shoots throughout October to capture your family amongst all this seasonal magic! Just check out these colours in the photos! Seriously, every year I fall more and more in love with the incredible colour palette this season brings. It’s like the world turns into a massive, gorgeous painting.
Think about it: those rich, deep ochres, the fiery rusts, the dazzling crimsons, and those stunning golden hues that light up the woods and parks. When I was younger, I don’t think I fully appreciated just how beautiful these tones are. But over the years, my love for the warm colour tones of Autumnal nature has just grown and grown. Now, it’s something I actively look forward to.
It’s the perfect excuse for a cosy walk and some seriously good photos—especially for capturing those beautiful family moments! What’s your favourite Autumn colour?

The first thing I did with my camera was photographing my children. All started in 2020. They are the reason I am here today, shooting families and little ones for a living. Honestly, looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Who knew that picking up a camera all those years ago would turn into this amazing journey? Capturing those fleeting moments, the genuine smiles, and the cheeky grins – it’s what truly makes my heart sing. My advice for parents before a photoshoot...

As a family photographer, I know it can be a bit daunting to get everyone ready for a photoshoot. But don’t you worry, I’ve got you! A little bit of prep goes a long way to making our time together relaxed and fun.
My biggest tip is to make a day of it! Plan a fun activity for after the shoot, like a trip to the park or a favourite cafe for a treat. This gives the little ones something to look forward to and helps keep them in good spirits.

You know, if my photography was a sunflower, I think its roots would just be the pure love I have for this craft. It wouldn’t be about business plans, but that core passion, and it would get stronger with every family I get to meet.
And the flower itself would always be facing the sun. That’s what I do, right? I’m always chasing that perfect golden-hour light, always turning my full attention to my clients to make them feel warm and radiant. The petals would be that feeling of joy and ease I try to create during a shoot, so people can just relax and be themselves.
But my favourite part would be the centre of the sunflower, the part packed with seeds. I like to think every photo I deliver is a seed—a memory that a family gets to plant in their home and cherish forever. And hopefully, it’s also a little seed of word-of-mouth that helps the whole thing continue to grow.
