I’d have listened to that voice telling me I’m not good enough, that there are already so many photographers out there, that maybe I don’t belong.

But I want this. I want to make photography a way of living.

I want to photograph love, adventure and wild places — elopements on the cliffs of Wales, intimate weddings in the New Forest, and all the in-between moments that make a story yours.

Plot twist...

The lanterns I bought for this shoot weren’t battery powered...
They were solar!
Which meant they refused to turn on until it was almost completely dark.
I spent a good few minutes wondering if I’d completely ruined the idea because I’d imagined photographing them while there was still a bit more light in the sky.
Turns out... they had other plans.
Sometimes the best photos happen when Plan A falls apart and you just roll with whatever you’ve got.
I still wish I’d thought to cover the solar panels so they’d switch on earlier... lesson learned for next time.
But looking back, I actually quite like how these turned out.

Started the morning slow, green tea in hand and scrolling through Pinterest for a bit of inspiration — soft light, fresh tones, that effortless spring feel. Once I’ve got a vision in mind, it’s straight into prep mode: batteries charged, lenses cleaned, memory cards cleared… all the little rituals before heading out.
Next up, location scouting. Spring always brings the best surprises — blossoms, fresh greens, and that golden light that just hits differently this time of year. Then it’s onto the shoot itself, chasing light, adjusting on the go, capturing those in-between moments that often turn out to be the best ones.
Back home, the day doesn’t end there. Editing is where it all comes together — refining colours, enhancing the mood, and bringing the story to life.
From start to finish, it’s a process I never get tired of.

Bluebell season = dreamy photos… and a tiny bit of chaos?
After plenty of shoots, here are 3 things I always tell my clients:
- Outfit colours matter more than you think – soft neutrals & pastels let the bluebells do their thing
- Snacks are your secret weapon – happy little ones = natural smiles
- Always bring a spare outfit… because mud will happen

If Eat, Pray, Love taught us anything, it’s that sometimes you have to strip everything back to discover who(and wha)you really want to be.
This winter, I’ve been ‘eating’ up the quiet, ‘praying’ (metaphorically, anyway!) for some creative direction, and finally ‘loving’ the idea of niching down my photography business. It’s been a season of growth, even if it looked like stillness from the outside.
Spring is coming, and with it, the magic of Mother’s Day. I’ve been busy behind the lens with these portraits of mums and their children, and honestly? It’s been the perfect reminder of why I started this in the first place. There is so much love in these frames.

While my main niches are branding and family photography — and more recently, weddings — I also love being able to offer so much more. From newborn and maternity sessions to seasonal mini shoots, pets, and even charity work, every job brings its own story and purpose.

It’s not always easy, and progress definitely isn’t linear.

Some weeks there’s momentum, other weeks it’s just showing up tired and doing what you can.

But this matters to me. I keep turning up, keep trying, and keep building — because photography isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s a personal and professional goal I really want to see through. Even if it takes longer than planned.

If you knew me, you’d know... I’m a bit of a photography addict, but I’m absolutely rubbish at picking a favourite niche! Why choose when you can love them all, eh? Every style has its own incredible vibe.
Take portraits, for example: they’re brilliant because you get to connect with people and have a right laugh while you’re at it. Then you look at landscapes—pure escapism, showcasing the stunning nature right on our doorstep. If you need something slick and polished, branding is where it’s at for that professional feel. And don’t even get me started on weddings! Documenting that pure, unfiltered love and happiness... it’s just the best, honestly.
