If I’d listened to my insecurities, I wouldn’t be here.

I’d have listened to that voice telling me I’m not good enough, that there are already so many photographers out there, that maybe I don’t belong.

But I want this. I want to make photography a way of living.

I want to photograph love, adventure and wild places — elopements on the cliffs of Wales, intimate weddings in the New Forest, and all the in-between moments that make a story yours.

The journey isn’t easy, and I still have doubts. But I’m putting my heart into it, learning, growing and showing up.

Plot twist...

The lanterns I bought for this shoot weren’t battery powered...
They were solar!
Which meant they refused to turn on until it was almost completely dark.
I spent a good few minutes wondering if I’d completely ruined the idea because I’d imagined photographing them while there was still a bit more light in the sky.
Turns out... they had other plans.
Sometimes the best photos happen when Plan A falls apart and you just roll with whatever you’ve got.
I still wish I’d thought to cover the solar panels so they’d switch on earlier... lesson learned for next time.
But looking back, I actually quite like how these turned out.

The first thing I notice is trust.
Not because I expect it straight away...
But because I know how much better your photos will be once it’s there.
Last weekend’s elopement(not a real one but it felt so real🫶🏻) in Wales was proof of that.
We woke before sunrise, hiked through thick fog for hours and honestly had no idea what the mountains were going to give us.
Instead of stressing, Laura and Greg embraced every minute.
They trusted the process.
The result? Photos that feel exactly like their day.

I used to think drones were mainly for landscape photographers!

Spring days behind the lens:
Started the morning slow, green tea in hand and scrolling through Pinterest for a bit of inspiration — soft light, fresh tones, that effortless spring feel. Once I’ve got a vision in mind, it’s straight into prep mode: batteries charged, lenses cleaned, memory cards cleared… all the little rituals before heading out.
Next up, location scouting. Spring always brings the best surprises — blossoms, fresh greens, and that golden light that just hits differently this time of year. Then it’s onto the shoot itself, chasing light, adjusting on the go, capturing those in-between moments that often turn out to be the best ones.
Back home, the day doesn’t end there. Editing is where it all comes together — refining colours, enhancing the mood, and bringing the story to life.
From start to finish, it’s a process I never get tired of.

Bluebell season = dreamy photos… and a tiny bit of chaos?
After plenty of shoots, here are 3 things I always tell my clients:
- Outfit colours matter more than you think – soft neutrals & pastels let the bluebells do their thing
- Snacks are your secret weapon – happy little ones = natural smiles
- Always bring a spare outfit… because mud will happen
A little prep, and you get those effortless, magical moments (with far less stress!)

Mum photographers: I see you!
The women who pour their hearts into their work while also being mums, partners, carers and providers. The ones editing late at night after little ones are asleep, juggling school runs with client galleries, giving their creativity to the world while giving their whole hearts to their children. And to the single mums doing it all, your strength is nothing short of extraordinary. I truly admire you. You are superheroes 🦸‍♀️💪🏻
Being a mum is also where my own photography journey began. It started with a simple desire to hold onto the fleeting moments with my children (the quiet cuddles, the laughter, the love that fills the everyday).
Picking up my camera to capture those memories slowly became something more, and today I have the privilege of doing the same for other families.
Because the bond between a mum and her children is one of the most powerful and beautiful things there is. And without mums, none of us would be here.

If Eat, Pray, Love taught us anything, it’s that sometimes you have to strip everything back to discover who(and wha)you really want to be.
This winter, I’ve been ‘eating’ up the quiet, ‘praying’ (metaphorically, anyway!) for some creative direction, and finally ‘loving’ the idea of niching down my photography business. It’s been a season of growth, even if it looked like stillness from the outside.
Spring is coming, and with it, the magic of Mother’s Day. I’ve been busy behind the lens with these portraits of mums and their children, and honestly? It’s been the perfect reminder of why I started this in the first place. There is so much love in these frames.

’ve been feeling really grateful lately for the journey my photography business has taken me. I’ve been lucky enough to work across such a wide variety of projects, and it honestly means so much to me.
While my main niches are branding and family photography — and more recently, weddings — I also love being able to offer so much more. From newborn and maternity sessions to seasonal mini shoots, pets, and even charity work, every job brings its own story and purpose.

Workflow is never as we want it, right?
Between a main job, family, and all the everyday stuff that fills the week, photography has to squeeze into whatever time is left.
It’s not always easy, and progress definitely isn’t linear.

Some weeks there’s momentum, other weeks it’s just showing up tired and doing what you can.

But this matters to me. I keep turning up, keep trying, and keep building — because photography isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s a personal and professional goal I really want to see through. Even if it takes longer than planned.

This year has been one of deep self-reflection for my photography.
Of slowing down. Of questioning. Of finding my way back to why I started.
And the truth is: it has always been because of them.
Becoming their mum is what gave me the courage to take photography seriously. To see beauty in the everyday. To document love, connection and fleeting moments before they’re gone.
I wouldn’t be here without my children.
They are my reason, my inspiration, my why.
For now, I’m still holding onto the magic of the Christmas holidays (fully present, exactly where I’m meant to be)

Every Christmas I love picking up my camera and photographing my children. Life slows down a little, I get more time with them, and it feels like the perfect moment to pause and document the small, special things.
This year was extra special, capturing them posting their letters to Santa. The excitement, the belief, the magic — it might be the last Christmas where they both share that same wonder about Santa, which makes these moments even more precious to me.
